With the return of Lebron James to the Cavs, Cleveland is now Vegas’s bet to win the 2015 NBA Championship. Coming in with a 18.2% chance to win it all, the Cavs are easily the most favored team in the East with Chicago coming in at 11.1% and Pacers falling back to 4.0%. The Heat are the team that have taken the biggest nosedive as they are listed between 30:1 and 40:1 depending on the sportsbook. In aggregate, this translates into a 2.1% of winning the NBA Championship.
In what probably shouldn’t come as a shock, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder are the favorites in the West. They are followed up by the Clippers, Rockets and Warriors.
The longest odds in the field are shared by the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers at only a 0.3% chance of winning the 2015 NBA Championship.
These odds could change pretty drastically if Minnesota decides to part with Kevin Love. We will be keeping an eye out.
